WearValue ("we", "our", "the app") respects your privacy. This policy describes what data we use and how. It is intended for users in the United States and other regions, and includes disclosures required under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable.
If you sign in (e.g. with Apple or Google), we store your account data to provide the app and, in future versions, to sync your wardrobe and history across devices. We use Supabase for authentication and optional cloud storage.
Scan history (last 24 hours) and your wardrobe list are stored on your device by default. If you sign in, we may sync this data to your account in future versions.
The app tracks daily scan usage and wardrobe count locally to enforce free-tier limits and bonuses (e.g. push notifications, referrals, subscription). This data stays on your device unless you sign in and we implement sync.
You can use the app without signing in; then scan history and wardrobe stay only on your device. You can disable push notifications in system settings; the app will still work with the free limits. Account deletion (when available) will remove your account and synced data from our systems.
We use HTTPS for all network requests. API keys are not stored in the app in a way that exposes them in public builds. Data on your device is removed when you uninstall the app. Synced data is retained until you delete your account or we no longer need it to provide the service.
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it.
We do not sell personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Categories of personal information we may collect: identifiers (e.g. email if you sign in), internet or device information (e.g. for API requests), and inferences (e.g. usage for limits). Tag photos are processed by a vendor (Google) for service provision; we do not retain them. Your California rights: You may have the right to know, correct, delete, limit use of sensitive data, and opt out of "sales" or "sharing." We do not sell or share as defined under CCPA. To exercise rights, contact us at the address below. We will not discriminate for exercising your rights.
We process data to perform our contract with you (app functionality), with your consent where required (e.g. push notifications), and for legitimate interests (security, improving the app). You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, object, and withdraw consent. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise rights, contact us at the address below.
We may update this policy. We will post the new version with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy. For material changes we may provide additional notice in the app or by email where appropriate.
